The Baltimore native Williams was a big reason for the victory, with his 25 points on 9 of 13 shooting from the field, out-performing opponents Chris Mullin and Walter Berry. This is the year 1985. Not many times would you see a sophomore turn in the best performance in the game, much less in a game between the #1 and #2 teams in the nation at the time.
