Instructions: Preheat oven 350F Cream the butter and sugar together. Add vanilla and slowly add flour. Place the mixed dough onto plastic wrap and press the dough together. If it does not hold together when you roll it out. Add a little water and mix again on the plastic wrap. Roll out the dough to about 1/8" thick and cut into shapes. Place the shapes onto the baking sheet, lined with parchment paper. Decorate the cookies or leave them plain to cover with frosting. Bake the cookies for 11-13 minutes until they start to turn brown.
