| Video Discription | When making a left turn from the center line lane to the center line lane: 1) Drive straight out into the intersection until your head is at whatever divides the two ways of traffic -here it's a double yellow line- then 2) Steer your truck to the 2nd lane (curb lane on this road) until the tractor drive wheels are even with the stop line on the other side of the road (oncoming traffic side) then 3) Turn your tractor back to the left lane- finishing lane (closest to the centerline) while watching (tracking) your trailer so as not to drag it over the yellow lines or center curb then 4)When truck and trailer are straight in your lane the turn is complete- now signal and make your way to the curb lane one lane at a time when all clear. All 3 reference points for the left turn are on your left so you will always be able to monitor where your trailer is tracking. We as a truck drivers always travel in the far right lane (slow lane) so this is where we always finish up. fbEDeW-eS_k |
