| Video Discription | In 1953, Hemanta Mukherjee and Lata Mangeshkar sang two duets of Tagore , "Madhu Gandhe Bhara" and "Tomar Holo Shuru," before singing a duet in the 1957 movie "BARO MA" under the direction of Pabitra Chatterjee. "Prem Ekbari Esechhilo Neerabe" and "O Palash O Shimul," composed by Gauriprasanna Mazumder, were two contemporary songs that Lataji recorded in 1958 as her PUJA offerings and had them arranged by her favourite musician, "Hemanta Dada."Lataji recorded many Bengali songs in various films directed by Hemanta Mukherjee such as Adwitiya, Monihar, Kuheli, Anindita, Mon Niye, Baghini, Alor Pipasa, Raag Anuraag, Shanai, Proxy, Deep Jwele Jai, Joutuk, etc. This WEEKEND CLASSICS RADIO SHOW presents such 10 unforgettable Bengali duets and solos by Lataji where Hemanta Mukherjee was co-artiste or music director.
