| Video Discription | Sahalie and Koosah are two waterfalls that stand out among all the other waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest. As it just so happens they’re pretty much back to back drops on the Mckenzie river, only separated by a quarter mile class 5 gorge that's chocked up with logs making it nearly impossible to run the drops without portaging the gorge in-between. I've dreamed for quite some time of running both drops in a day, but I know that flows for that are tough to get. If you have good flows for Sahalie, Koosah is probably low. If Koosah looks good, Sahalie is probably too high to make the last eddy and chance the gnarly gorge below. When we got to the falls I knew we had the window to get both the drops. -O4MdGAkXbo |
