| Video Discription | In this talk, Dr. Rajan Sankaran answers very important questions that homoeopathic practitioners commonly face in their practice. He shares his vast experience and deals questions that are vital for homoeopathic practitioners. How to manage relapse of the disease condition when patient has shown initial improvement? He explains how in such cases we need to re-study the case and begin case-taking from the current complaints of the patient. He explains that we need to keep probing in the case until we get exact, individualizing features. How to manage acute condition during treatment of a chronic case? He explains how if the state is the same as the chronic remedy, we need to simply repeat the chronic remedy. If the acute symptoms are different from the chronic remedy, the remedy must be changed. How can we be sure that patient is improving in all aspects during follow ups? Dr. Sankaran explains that it is important to ask the patient how he is doing, at all levels. He says that we must explore the case and find out the intensity of the sensation compared to before. The amount of change in the intensity of experience is exactly the amount of healing that has happened. The symptom method can be confirmed through repertorization whereas in the System method there seems to be a lot of interpretation. How to avoid interpretation and arrive at the indicated remedy? He explains with clarity how interpretation is possible in the System method as well as in symptoms. He says that interpretation should be completely avoided. How to retake a case by sensation method after having taken it once and failed in first prescription? From where would we restart as the patient has already narrated the presenting complaints before? Dr. Sankaran explains how in sensation method we don’t need to take the history all over again. We need to start taking the case from the present state of the patient. In what way can we take the case by sensation method in day to day practice where time is short?
