The current renovation of the 13-time European Cup winner's stadium is already the eighth in its history, and the third in the 21st century. Originally, the new Bernabeu was to reach over 93,000 seats, but this concept was eventually abandoned, and the facility will be similar in capacity to its previous version. What warms the hearts of 'Los Blancos' fans the most is the construction of a roof with a retractable part over the pitch. The arena is also set to receive a brand new metallic facade with a futuristic design. It seems that the current La Liga champion will play at the fully completed facility as early as the 22/23 season.
