| Video Discription | I was pretty sure I was going to die... due to cancer. Thankfully I survived and want to share my message of hope with you. A diagnosis of cancer or any health challenge is a wake up call. How will you handle the current challenge and, if you survive, what will you do with the remainder of your one precious life? This is my story of overcoming cancer and pursuing a life well-lived. We hope you are encouraged by this story and song. Behind the scenes Toward the end of 2009 - when I thought my life was over - I hired a friend - a very talented musician Rex Schnelle - to help me record Wake Up, along with another song called Second Chance. He showed up at my door with his computer and a microphone and set up a make-shift studio in our living room. I was on heavy pain meds at time. It was hard to sit. But I was determined to record these two songs to leave for my children. I played guitar to a click track and then I sang the song. Rex took it home and added all the other instruments, which he played himself. It was magic. The Wake Up video was produced by Peter Shockey. A few years later when I was recording an album called Flying High, another fine producer and musician Brendan Harkin updated it.
