Covert black and fashioned from corrosion resistant 8Cr13MoV high carbon stainless steel, the 4.2 inch clip point blade features a thumb ramp with jimping. A finger guard aids control of the out-of-the-box sharp fine edge. The durable tip of the SCHF32 is great for drilling tasks—such as tapping trees. Use the fine edge to chop and slice. The 90 degree angled spine can be used for starting a fire using a ferro rod. Weighing in at just 7.4 ounces, the SCHF32 feels light in the hand and on the belt… yet is tough enough to handle batoning. TPE handle slabs are securely fastened by two steel bolts and offer four ambidextrous finger grooves… as well as jimping on both top and bottom for a secure, non-slip grip. A lanyard slot at the base of the handle allows for the attachment of cordage… while the base serves as a pummeling tool for driving in stakes… or breaking open tree nuts. The low profile, black thermoplastic belt sheath’s grommet holes allow for multiple carry options as well as attachment points for extra gear—such as a ferro rod.
