Enjoy todays occasion by trying out this classic recipe and savouring it with your family 😋 Written Recipe for Seviyan kheer/Semiya Payasam - INGREDIENTS : • Ghee - 2 tbsp • Cashewnuts - 2 tbsp • Almonds - 2 tbsp • Pistachio – 2 tbsp • Raisins – 2 tbsp • Seviyan (Vermicelli) – 1 Cup • Milk – 4 Cups/ 1 Litre • Sugar – ½ Cup • Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder – ½ tsp • Salt a pinch • Nuts for Garnish Method: • Add Ghee in a Kadhai & keep the pan on low heat. • Once the Ghee is hot add Cashewnuts, Almonds & Pistachio • Roast the nuts to a light brown Colour. • Add Raisins & let it bloom. • Remove the nuts from the Kadhai & keep it aside. • In the same pan add Seviyan & roast till golden brown. • Remove from Kadhai once done and keep it aside. • Pour milk in the same Kadhai & bring it to boil on medium heat. Keep stirring occasionally. • Once the milk starts boiling add the roasted seviyan. • Let it simmer on medium heat for 7-8 minutes stirring occasionally. • Add Sugar & mix. Simmer till sugar dissolves. • Add Cardamom & salt. Let it simmer for 2 minutes. • You can serve immediately or keep it for sometime to thicken it. • Serve warm or cold. Enjoy!
