| Video Discription | This hand signal provides victims of labour abuses and exploitation on sites with an additional reporting mechanism, of particular benefit where there is a language barrier. The signal has been developed by Stronger Together, a multi-stakeholder initiative aiming to reduce modern slavery, with the support of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), CIOB, and Saint-Gobain, on Anti-Slavery Day 2021. Organisations are encouraged to adopt this hand signal in their workplaces. This video has been released alongside other free resources developed to help your organisation raise awareness of the hand signal, including a SOS Hand Signal poster, induction pack, information sheet, and Toolbox Talk (available in the Resources section of the Stronger Together website): https://www.stronger2gether.org/resources By introducing the hand signal, it is hoped that co-workers will recognise that a fellow worker needs help or support.
