| Video Discription | Sonic The Hedgehog 2: Simon Wai Prototype is a prototype build of Sonic 2 on the Sega Genesis that was found by Simon Wai in 1998. It consists of four playable levels: Aquatic Ruin Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, Hill Top Zone, and Emerald Hill Zone. However, upon entering the level select code, other levels can be accessed. Most of these levels, however, are incomplete and/or require debug mode to navigate. In this video I show off Wood Zone and Hidden Palace Zone. These are two levels that were cut from the final product. Hidden Palace Zone was later "resurrected" in the 2013 iOS/Android remake of Sonic 2 by Christian Whitehead and Headcannon. ■ Level Select: Press A+Start during the Title Screen ■ Debug Mode: Press C C C C ↑ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↑ during the Title Screen. You will hear a ring. Press A+Start to go to the Level Select screen. Press and hold A+Start to enter a stage with debug mode. ■ 2 Player Mode: In the stage select, Press and hold B+Start while entering a level. ■ Night Mode: In the state select, Press and hold C+Start while entering a level.
