The Simplisafe security system is designed as a DIY security system that you can setup yourself and does not require any type of long term contract for professional monitoring. In my testing the Simplisafe security system was responsive and the professional monitoring would call almost immediately when the alarm was triggered. But there are 3 things that I wish they would change about the Simpliafe alarm system: 1. It would be great if they allowed app control of the simplisafe security system for free. Currently you need to pay for a professional monitoring subscription for the app control of the system to work. 2. Increase the camera resolution and provide multiple options for Simplisafe cameras including a more robust outdoor option. 3. Lower the monthly cost of professional monitoring with app control.
