| Video Discription | (KUTV) A preschool program introduces the concepts of STEM to kids at a young age. Mountainland Head Start built a room dedicated entirely to STEM at their main location in Provo. In the room, preschoolers learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, which will be reinforced by all kinds of sensory experiences. The goal is to not only get these young students interested in STEM, but excited about learning in general. Mountainland Head Start has nine different schools throughout the valley. They serve more than 800 children, 200 attend preschool at the Provo location. Mountainland Head Start hopes to one day be able to put a STEM room in every center.
