Research foci include forest carbon dynamics and management, climate change impacts, disturbance-based silviculture, late-successional forest systems, forest-stream interactions, forest biodiversity, and sustainable forest management policy and practice in the U.S. and internationally. A production of the Gund Institute is a hub for transdisciplinary scholarship, based at the University of Vermont and comprising diverse faculty, students, and collaborators worldwide.
