Here's a simple sugar cookie dough recipe that can be used to make decorated cookies or just cookies to snack on. I love to use this when making all different shapes during the holidays as well as just making them as snacks. Recipe: 8 oz Butter 1 Cup Sugar 1 Egg 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla 2 1/2 Cups Flour 1/2 tsp Salt Chill for at least half an hour, knead the dough once it’s near room temperature. This will give you smooth cookies and an even bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Baking time may vary on your oven. The amount of cookies vary in size and thickness.
