Surmai Fish Steaks 1 lemon sized (18 gms) Tamarind Hot Water For the Curry Paste : 5 to 6 nos (70 gms) Shallots 10 to 12 flakes (10 gms) Garlic 1 small piece (5 gms) Ginger (roughly chopped) 1 no. (75 gms) Tomato (roughly chopped) ½ tsp Peppercorns ½ tsp Fennel Seeds 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder 2 tbsp Coriander Powder 2 tbsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder ½ cup (60 gms) Coconut (freshly grated) 40 ml Water Other Ingredients : 3 to 4 tbsp Coconut Oil 1 tsp Mustard Seeds ¼ tsp Fenugreek Seeds (Methi Seeds) ½ tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera) 1 tsp Garlic (finely chopped) ½ cup (50 gms) Shallots (sliced) 2 nos.
