Video Discription |
Tribes would race into the jungle for oars. While getting the oars, three players were given a chance to get an advantage. Once back with the oars, they would row out and around a buoy, untie a bag of bamboo pieces and come back to shore. They would then tie the pieces of bamboo together to create a pole long enough to retrieve a flint on a ring. First tribe to finish wins reward.
Reward: Pot, machete, and flint
Additional Stipulation: The two losing tribes will have to earn their supplies in a penalty challenge waiting for them at camp.

Survivor 42 will be the forty-second season of the CBS competitive reality television series Survivor.
Production
Seasons 41 and 42 were slated for May 2020,[3] but the outbreak of COVID-19 pushed the production and filming of both seasons a year later. Safety protocols and mobility practices used in Survivor 41 were still enforced.[4]
Twists/Changes
Shortened Game: As was the case in Survivor 41, the game lasted for 26 days, 13 days shorter than the standard 39.[5]
Tribe Division: The 18 castaways were divided into 3 tribes of 6. No unifying theme was used in dividing the tribes.
Beware Advantages: Game advantages were hidden at camp in packages labeled "Beware Advantage", the contents of which may only be obtained if its finder opened it and fulfilled its demands. A steep consequence was given to the castaway if the demand was not met. The advantages that were disguised as a Beware Advantage were:
Hidden Immunity Idols: Each camp had one idol, that if found, its finder had to utter a certain code before an Immunity Challenge, and if members of the other tribes respond with their own code sentences, all three idols will have power. Until then, the idols remained powerless and their finders without a vote at Tribal Council. If the conditions were not met before the merge, all three idols will be rendered powerless, though their owners will be able to vote again.
Trivia
This season has the record for most LGBT contestants, with 5: Chanelle Howell, Hai Giang, Jackson Fox, Lydia Meredith, and Romeo Escobar.

Survivor is a U.S. reality-based competition television show, based on the Swedish television series, Expedition Robinson created by Charlie Parsons in 1997. It premiered on May 31, 2000, and is currently hosted by Jeff Probst.
The United States version is produced by Survivor Entertainment Group, a joint company created by the television network CBS and Executive Producer Mark Burnett.
The series airs on Wednesdays (formerly Thursdays) at 8:00 pm during the fall and spring.
History
An instant hit in the United States, the first eleven seasons of Survivor regularly rated among the top ten most-watched television shows. The show is considered the pioneer of the reality television genre, being the first highly rated and profitable reality show on television, and often considered to be one of the best shows during the 2000s.[1][2][3]
The show has regularly been nominated for various Emmy Awards, such as Outstanding Cinematography for Reality Programming and Outstanding Picture Editing for Reality Programming. Jeff Probst has won four consecutive years for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program. Survivor has also won a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Reality Program, for the show's handling of an incident between Jeff Varner and Zeke Smith in Survivor: Game Changers.[4]
Starting with Survivor: Island of the Idols, Canadian citizens are eligible to apply for the show. Prior to this, dual-citizen Americans had to give up their non-American citizenship for legal reasons to earn their winnings, though the only known case of a castaway doing so is Todd Herzog in Survivor: China.[5]

Similar to the original Expedition Robinson, sixteen to twenty people, referred to as "castaways" or "survivors", split into two or more groups, referred to as "tribes", would be taken to a remote location, most often tropical, and forced to live off the land for 39 days (42 in The Australian Outback and 26 in Survivor 41). Every so often, the tribes would meet together to compete for reward, usually items to improve island living conditions or... |
