A woman of substance, Tahira Kasyap weaves magic through her expertise in performing arts, filmmaking and writing. She is the face behind many successful movies like the poignant ‘Toffee’ and books like ‘I Promise’. Watch as the theatre enthusiast talks about her struggles of moving to Bombay, and carving an identity for herself. This is a talk that inspires that it is never too late to start and to have goals in life. These goals add value to one’s life and to the lives of those around. Tahira Kashyap is a multi talented personality. Having completed her journalism and mass communication degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh, our alumni's virtuosity in fields filmmaking, theatre and writing, is commendable. She successfully started a public relation house and worked as the programming head of BIG 92.7 FM for a significant time and was an active member of the theatre group in college. She directed her first short film Toffee which got lot of appreciation and recognition at various prestigious film festivals. Her knack for writing and journalism has become a source of inspiration for many. ‘I PROMISE’ , ‘CRACKING THE CODE’ and ‘SOULED OUT’ are few of her famous writings that conceptualized themes like ‘film industry struggle ‘and ‘perfection’.Her writings enumerate a common thread of emotions with unique storylines, that are a treat for the readers.
