Pal who was returning after meeting his daughter was rushed to a Juhu hospital after he complained of chest pain where he passed away. Tapas Pal rose to fame with his debut film Dadar Kirti in 1980. Tapas was one of the first actors to join TMC with his star power in the 2009 Bengal elections.
