| Video Discription | The Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex (TFCC) is a ligamentous and cartilaginous structure at the ulnar side of the wrist. It keeps the forearm bones stable when the hand grasps or forearm rotates. The extensor carpi ulnaris (ECU) and pronator quadratus (PQ) muscles are secondary stabilizers that contribute to the stability of the distal radioulnar joint if the TFCC (primary stabilizer) is injured. This video shows a set of exercises meant to strengthen the secondary stabilizer muscles in a stationary position. Consult your occupational therapist to check if it is appropriate for you to start these exercises. Stop any movement that causes extreme pain and seek advice from your occupational therapist.
