Thai Airways is flying at full speed again after almost going bankrupt. In Thailand, it's chic to fly Thai Airways instead of low-cost. On the airline's most important domestic route between Phuket and Bangkok, we take a look at Economy Class in the Thai Airways Boeing B777-200, which not only flies regionally, but on routes of up to 8 hours. Everything is big - but unfortunately that's not all... The interior of the plane has been anything but well maintained! We are greeted by a plane that is far too shabby for its age. Which is a shame for this actually beautiful and traditional airline. I have actually been flying Thai Airways since childhood - as almost all of my relatives have lived in Thailand for 40 years. The airline used to use the Boeing B747 jumbo jet between Phuket and Bangkok. You could even sit in first class, for a relatively low price.
