Have you ever felt like your life is being turned upside down? Here are ten signs that God might be pruning you to bear more fruit.
One, Loss of Relationships - John 15:2 says, "Every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit."
Two, Challenges and Trials - James 1:2-3 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."
Three, Increased Sensitivity to Sin - Hebrews 12:1 urges, "Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles."
Four, Feeling Stuck - God uses seasons of waiting to strengthen your trust in Him. Isaiah 40:31 promises, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength."
Five, Restlessness for Change - Romans 12:2 encourages, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
Six, Exposure of Hidden Weaknesses - God reveals areas that need His healing touch. Psalm 139:23-24 pleads, "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
Seven, Deeper Prayer Life - You find yourself seeking God more fervently. Philippians 4:6 advises, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Eight, Renewed Vision and Purpose - Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish."
Nine, Supernatural Peace - Despite the pruning, you experience a peace that transcends understanding. Philippians 4:7 declares, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Ten, Increased Fruitfulness - Ultimately, you begin to see more spiritual fruits in your life. Galatians 5:22-23 lists the fruits of the Spirit: "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
