| Video Discription | 'There's a Spirit in the Air' was written by United Reformed minister and hymn writer Brian Wren for Pentecost 1969 in Hockney Church where he was pastor. These are his original words. He later made some alterations, concerned about the use of the word, 'power' in this context. The line, "We can see his power today" became "Live tomorrow's life today" in later versions. The tune is 'Lauds', written by John Wilson in 1967 to be published with James Montgomery's text, "Songs of Praise the Angels Sang" (hence the title: 'lauds' means 'praise' in Latin). The descant was also written by Wilson.
