Despite no longer being the site of the wholesale fish market it remains one of the best places in Tokyo to explore if you love to eat. The Tsukiji outer market is packed with stalls and restaurants specialising in fresh seafood like sashimi, sushi, fresh oysters and other unique Japanese foods. We want to share with you some of the lesser known stalls- in particular a secret fish burger bar you MUST VISIT. This 6 part Japan series focuses on Tokyo street food- we’ll share our favourite Japanese street foods and some of the best spots to find them. NB: Most restaurants and stalls are closed on Wednesday and Sunday. To make the most of your time at the market we recommend visiting in the morning into the early afternoon.
