| Video Discription | A couple of waterfalls we found hiking the Appalachian Trail and the other four more we hiked to added to the lit of must see list of best East Tennessee waterfalls. We camped in Dennis Cove Campground and these nearby hikes on The Appalachian Trail to both Laurel Falls and Coon Den Falls were both dog friendly hikes as you can tell they both were approved by Porter. We didn't realize Blue Hole Falls swimming was so popular with the local residents but they did accommodate me photographing the falls. A quick hike to Backbone Falls was one of the most unique waterfalls I've seen in Tennessee. My favorite hike of the weekend was Dennis Cove Falls, it was an out and back hike that required six creek crossings that made hiking with dogs a bit challenging. There were several people swimming at this fall as well. The last waterfall of the weekend was Gentry Creek Falls. It was a very popular waterfall that had several creek crossings but barely ankle deep. This hike was Porter approved. All of these hikes are in the Cherokee National Forest See a full list of Tennessee Waterfalls to explore at https://www.instagram.com/tnwaterfallquest/ LOST SOILS TRAIL DIFFICULTY RATING Blue Hole Falls 3|10 This 0.3 mile hike was short but a steep descent to view the falls. Backbone Falls 3/10 This 0.3 mile hike was short but steep stairs to climb in the beginning and steep stairs to descend to get to the base. Laurel Falls 4/10 This 4.6 mile hike is very popular and the portion of the hike on the Appalachian Trail was easy before descending down a stone stair case to the base of the falls. Coon Den Falls 5/10 This 3.6 mile hike was a moderate due to the elevation gain of over 1000'. Dennis Cove Falls 8/10 This 8 mile hike is very difficult due the multiple creek crossings.
