| Video Discription | This year Kari and I decided to embark on a week long journey across Iowa for an event called RAGBRAI. RAGBRAI stands for the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa and was in its 49th year in 2022. This ride is roughly 450 miles long and somewhere between 10,000-20,000 people join every year. In preparation, we trained about 500 miles. For those of you interested, I'm riding a Surly Pack Rat and Kari is on her Specialized E-bike. Yes, an E-bike! Pedal assist allowed her to complete this ride with me at a similar speed, though don't let it fool you, even on the 100 mile day she had 50% of her battery left, using mostly leg strength to manage that 60# bike. Here is a recap of the Friday shuttle from Lansing to Sergeant Bluff, Saturday ride for our tire dip in Missouri River, and day one of RAGBRAI (Sergeant Bluff to Ida Grove) ***Hi, I'm Tyler and my wife Kari and I are traveling physical therapists.
