| Video Discription | A large part of her journey to wellness started with a type 2 diabetes diagnosis and has been a driving force to better her health. Focusing on diet and exercise, Alexandria (Allie for short) Mattie has lowered her A1C to normal levels and has been able to stop taking medication to control her diabetes. Allie Mattey is a 23 year old living in Marietta, Ohio. She started her journey to wellness in January, 2020 when she decided that her health was interfering with her everyday life. She started going to a local fitness center to take Group Exercise classes and fell in love with getting stronger and healthier while building her support network with similarly minded people. In September of 2020, Allie took training to become a licensed POUND Pro and a few months later took a test through American Council on Exercise (ACE) to become a nationally certified fitness instructor. She has continued getting certifications for other fitness formats including HIGH-Low and AMPD Resistance.
