Initially it is asymptomatic bacteriuria. Usually 5% of the women will have asymptomatic bacteriuria. Patient will not have any symptom of this dysuria, irritation, frequency, or urgency, but 30% of asymptomatic bacteriuria go for acute infection. So routinely, we have to screen every patient for urinary infection by doing simple tests like urine deposits. If deposits are more than 10 pus cells, then we have to go for urine culture sensitivity and then treat the patient with the antibiotic and them if asymptomatic bacteriuria is not recognized, it goes for the next stage acute infection, that is cystitis and ascending urinary treat infection that is pyelonephritis. So initially with cystitis patient can have dysuria, frequency urgency and sometimes ascending infection can cause fever with chills nausea, vomiting, and hiking temperature and lumbar pain. Both patient will complain of severe lumbar pain. |
