Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced in 2022 that every year 26th December will be celebrated as “Veer Baal Divas” to pay tribute to the courage of the four Sahibzadas (Kids) of 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Sahib Ji who attained martyrdom in the 17th century. Gobind Singh had four sons —Sahibzada Ajit Singh(17), Jujhar Singh(13), Zorawar Singh(9), and Fateh Singh(6). All four of his sons were executed by Mughal forces because they protested against Mughals for religious persecution of Indians.
