He has worked on this ice maker several times in the past and had to replace various components including the water inlet valve, and also found other helpful fixes without having to replace anything. However, this process did ultimately result in replacing the icemaker and it is producing ice consistently at time of this video upload. With troubleshooting, DIYNate does not provide heavy technical steps including jumping the icemaker, running diagnostic tests (typically performed by a technician) or details around replacing solenoids or control panels. These steps are from working on the Maytag MFI2665XEM7 and DIYNate ended up replacing his icemaker with model W10882923 as indicated above. For specific replacement, DIYNate takes out the old version of icemaker (model W10377151) and replaces it with the dial-style icemaker that Maytag / Whirlpool are now recommending (W10882923) for this specific refrigerator. The particular icemaker DIYNate purchased included a wiring adapter that allowed for a slightly easier process than changing out the full wiring harness and likely kept the cost of this particular icemaker down.
