| Video Discription | NHAI To Begin Work On Mancherial - Warangal Greenfield Highway In Telangana The Nagpur - Vijayawada Economic Corridor connecting Central India with South-Eastern coast is slowly taking shape with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) planning to invite tenders soon. Nagpur - Vijayawada Economic Corridor passes through Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This project is taken up as a four lane access controlled highway and is being built in parts like Khammam to Vijayawada stretch and Mancherial to Warangal stretch. Now NHAI has decided to invite tenders for a 108 km long greenfield access controlled highway between Mancherial and Warangal in Telangana. This stretch begins at Narva village near Mancherial town and ends at Oorugonda village near Warangal city. The estimated cost of this stretch is Rs 2,500 crore. This project is divided into three packages costing around Rs 850 crore each. Works may first begin on 31 km long package-1 from Narva village to Puttapaka. The land acquisition work for Khammam to Vijayawada stretch of the Nagpur - Vijayawada Economic Corridor is already under progress. This stretch connecting crucial cities in Telangana and Andhra pradesh begins at Jakkampudi near Vijayawada and ends at V. Venkatayapalem near Khammam. Once complete, Nagpur - Vijayawada Economic Corridor eases congestion on existing highways, reduces distance between various cities and provides port connectivity to Northern Telangana and Vidarbha regions.
