| Video Discription | Watermelon rind candies. - When you have leftover watermelon rinds, demeat and deskin, cut them into finger-size strips. - add 200g sugar (a little bit less than 1 cup), into 800g watermelon strips. - Mix well. Cover the container. Keep in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Can do overnight. - There will be much liquid coming out from the rinds. Pour the liquid and the marinated rinds into a pan. - boil over high heat for 10 minutes, so that the rinds turn soft. - get the rinds out. Once they are not too hot to be handled, dry them up with kitchen towel. - air fry them at 170F for 2 hours. - once they are cooled down, you can optionally coat when with citric acid or cane sugar.
