Make sure the clay is fairly soft but firm. If it's hard, it means it's old stock, and you'll need to condition it with baby oil. You have to be careful how much glitter you use in your mixes. The more glitter you use, the more brittle it gets. Use a few drops of baby oil to condition clay that becomes too hard from glitter or cracked.
