| Video Discription | Washington鈥檚 coast has seen a higher rate of gray whale deaths this season. When a gray whale becomes stranded, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)'s West Coast Marine Mammal Stranding Network partners work together to necropsy the animals. We, with our partners at Cascadia Research Collective and World Vets, necropsied this female on May 9. Watch the video to find out more about the necropsy process and some of our preliminary findings. If you see marine mammals on the beach, stay back and keep your pets away.
