Derek Bieri is the host of Vice Grip Garage, a mechanic, a social media influencer, an entertainer, an infotainer, a celebrity, and a great father. His videos are filled with content related to cars and budget builds some amazing rescues and simple old how-to tutorials. Derek used to live in Minneapolis with his family and later they moved into a new crib in Tennessee. It has two shops in Minnesota and Wisconsin. They made the shift for a lower cost of living, a great neighborhood, the weather, and good accessibility. Derek had to cut out an entire week just to add an event schedule. Tennessee has no income tax and a loose schedule is perfect to fit in a bit of family time there. The best part is Derek being able to accompany his family to a Friday night movie. The switch was the best thing they ever did from a family time perspective and a financial standpoint. But Jessica Bieri says that the main reason would be the weather. Derek used to lay weeks on end waiting for the weather to clear out so that he could film some content. I mean imagine working in freezing conditions with metals. I’ve been there changing my tire while stranded in peak winters. The weather meant the conditions were more favorable for them to work and put out amazing content. Anyway, after so much success in the niche, you might believe that he is a certified mechanic but you will be amazed to know that he isn’t. He picked up all the trade secrets and skills by watching his parents and their parents back in Minot, North Dakota while he was growing up. He has been grinding and fixing cars for more than two decades. This is how you know that Derek is a passionate mechanic and that surpasses being a certified one. The amount of self-education and the amount of self-education he had to do shows just how much he is dedicated to his craft. He is a car doctor! Even though he has seen a lot of cars in his life his favorite one is a 56 Buick Special 2-door hard top. He joined YouTube back on the 9th of December, 2007, and has over 2.8 million views to date. He uploaded his first video about four years ago and since then he has garnered over a massive fan following of 1.29 million subscribers and has 271 videos under his name. On his journey, he has fixed many cars, and here are some that were the most highlighted. So he found a 1969 AMC Rebel in a junkyard that had to be driven from the backseat. While driving, somehow the engine leaked and the car had to be stopped midway. Then Derek had to take it 250 miles away in a ram truck to fix it in his garage. He also found a 1972 Chevelle in a junkyard that was called Independence because of color's duty to revive such a car he took it back to his garage and refurbished it. The car was later showcased in multiple events in Indianapolis and Florida. Vice Grip Garage channel has a net worth of more than $1.7 million and earns nearly $870k yearly. It is estimated that he can make more than a thousand dollars in a day and nine grand on a good week.
