| Video Discription | The difference between a cheap motorcycle helmet and an expensive motorcycle helmet can be found in many different things. The helmet market offers so many different types of skidlids, so it can be very difficult to find the right one for you. Especially when prices range from £50 to £1000. In this video we take a look at the major differences between cheap helmets and expensive helmets. For example: a fibreglass outer shell is much harder than a polycarbonate shell. The level of impact absorption is lower on a polycarbonate outer shell than on a fibreglass shell. This brings the need for different types of EPS inner shells. A cheap motorcycle helmet will never be made of top notch carbon fibre, and there is a big difference in quality between a £100 carbon helmet and a £2500 carbon helmet. The thickness of a helmet’s outer visor also differs a lot between cheap and expensive helmets.
