| Video Discription | Eyes to Nepal @E2N2073 वर्षा र सहकालका देवता रातो मच्छिन्द्रनाथको भोटो देखाउने जात्रा सम्पन्न भएको छ । ललितपुरको थटीटोलबाट रातो मच्छिन्द्रनाथको रथ तानेर जावलाखेल पुर्याइएको चौथो दिन भोटोजात्राको साइत जुरेको हो । भोटोजात्रा हेर्न राष्ट्राध्यक्ष, सरकार प्रमुख, संवैधानिक निकायका प्रमुख एवं पदाधिकारीसहित मन्त्री, सांसद र सरकारी अधिकारी ललितपुरको जावलाखेल पुगेका थिए । वैशाख शुक्ल तृतीया अर्थात् अक्षय तृतीयाका दिन गो–दान गरी भोलिपल्ट वैशाख शुक्ल चतुर्थीका दिनदेखि रातो मच्छिन्द्रनाथको रथ तान्ने परम्परा छ । किंवदन्तीअनुसार टौदहलाई राजधानी बनाएर नागराज्य चलाएका राजा कर्कोटककी रानीको आँखाको उपचार गर्ने किसानलाई नागराजले हिराजडित भोटो उपहार दिएका थिए । एक दिन किसानले खेतको डिलमा भोटो राखेर काम गर्दा भूतले भोटो लगेको र त्यसको भोलिपल्ट रातो मच्छिन्द्रनाथको रथ यात्रा हेर्न किसान थटीटोल जाँदा भूतले त्यही भोटो लगाएर आएको देखेपछि दुवैबीच झगडा भएकाले भोटो मच्छिन्द्रनाथको जिम्मा लगाइएको थियो । त्यसै बेलादेखि राजाले भोटोको प्रमाणसहित लिन आउनू भनी रथ जावलाखेल पुर्याएको चौथो दिन भोटो देखाउने चलन चलाएको विश्वास गरिन्छ । यो जात्रा वरदेवको शासनकाल विक्रम सम्वत् ६६२ देखि सुरु भएको विश्वास छ । #ratomachhendranath #chariotfestival #worldlongfestival #karunamaya #votojatra Rato Machhindranath, the god of rain and time, has been shown in a procession. In the fourth day of the Bhotojatra, Machhindranath's red chariot was pulled from Thatitol to Jawalakhel. In Jawalakhel in Lalitpur, politicians, parliamentarians, and government officials watched the Votojatra with heads of state, heads of government, and heads of constitutional bodies. There is a tradition of making a donation on the day of Baisakh Shukla Tritiya, i.e. Akshaya Tritiya, and pulling the red chariot of Machhindranath the next day on the day of Baisakh Shukla Chaturthi. According to legend, Nagaraja gave a diamond-adorned Voto as a gift to the farmer who treated the eyes of the queen of Karkotaka, who ruled Nagarajya with Toudah as the capital. One day, when the farmer worked in the field, the ghost took away the Voto. The next day, when the farmer came to Thatitol to see the Rath Yatra of Rato Machchindranath, he saw that the ghost came with the same Voto. It is believed that since that time, the king started the custom of showing the vote on the fourth day after the chariot was brought to Jawalakhel to come with proof of the Voto.
