| Video Discription | (14 Oct 2020) Iraqi and Greek foreign ministers signed a memorandum of understanding in Baghdad on Wednesday. The memos are "testament to our mutual willing to enhance those relations," Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said after signing the agreements. "There is room for more improvement on both political as well as economic level in particular investment and trade," he added. The talks focused on bilateral issues, with emphasis on the economy, and developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. On Monday, Greece accused neighbor Turkey of undermining efforts to ease a crisis over eastern Mediterranean drilling rights, after Ankara redeployed a survey vessel for new energy exploration in disputed waters - including an area very close to a secluded Greek island. "We have also made it crystal clear that dialogue between two sovereign countries can never take place in an environment of aggression and threats," Dendias said on Wednesday. Dendias is expected to meet with the Iraqi President Barham Salih and Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi later in the day.
