I think I have an unusually strong pride. When I need to bow to greet someone, I think, "Why do I need to bow to this person? So I don't bow properly and therefore, my greetings may look kind of rude. Also, I have a soft voice. So while having a conversation, if someone asks me to speak up, I feel offended.
