| Video Discription | From a trip on Amtrak's westbound Empire Builder, train 7, in August 1990. The first minute shows a variety of BN equipment as the train approaches Havre, Montana. Then the passengers had about 20 minutes to take a break. I saw a BN grain train coming so I fired up the camcorder and saw this train pulled by a GP39M (rebuilt ex-Great Northern GP35) and three SD40-2s. Last, a look at Great Northern 2584, a 4-8-4 steam locomotive that pulled the Empire Builder in the 1930s and 1940s. F9x7N-oqrGA |
