Murgh Rezala Recipe: Chicken (curry cut) - 1 kg Oil - 2 tbsp Ghee - 1 tbsp Onions (diced) - 3 nos Cashew Nut - ½ cup Poppy Seeds - 2 tbsp Cinnamon - 2 Sticks Cardamom - 3 nos Cloves - 3 nos Star anise - 1 no Mace - 1 no Green Chillies (slit) - 2 nos Ginger Garlic Paste - ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder - ½ tbsp Water - ¾ cup Curd - ½ Cup Salt - ½ tbsp Sugar - ½ tsp Coriander Leaves(finely chopped) - 3 sprigs Fried Onion - For garnish Cooking Instructions: 1. Soak poppy seeds and cashew nuts in a bowl with water. Keep it aside 2. Boil the onions for 2 minutes, strain them. 3. Blend the soaked cashew nut, poppy seeds and boiled onion separately to a fine paste. 4. Marinate the chicken with curd and ginger garlic paste and let it rest for an hour. 5. Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, green chillies and let them crackle. 6. Add ginger garlic paste and cook it for a few seconds 7. Add the onion paste and cook it for a few seconds on a medium flame. 8. Add the chicken, mix it well till it is coated evenly with the onion paste. Add water, mix it well. Add salt and sugar, mix it well. 9. Cover and cook the chicken for 15 minutes on a medium flame, stirring occasionally. 10. Add the Cashew nut paste, mix it well. Cook for 5 minutes. 11. Transfer it to a bowl. Garnish it with Coriander leaves and fried onion. Serve it hot. Cooking Tips: 1.
