I really wanted to touch on this single point about the Duramax diesel #1 issue because I think I missed a really good little bit of info when it came to real power loss from a clogged up MAP sensor. What happens is the MAP sensor or the absolute manifold pressure sensor gets clogged up with soot from the EGR and therefore can no longer read correctly not allowed the engine to know how much air or oxygen is going into the engine. this mean that your duramax Diesel engine is not going to be running at peak performance. now when I drove this chevy 2500 Diesel after I cleaned up the sensor it was very noticable the power gain that happened. the truck was much more responsive. the turbo boost felt much stronger and in general the truck felt like it had gain some horse power.
