Thirdly is the MAP sensor getting clogged with soot, pretty easy fix but certainly something to keep an eye on. the fourth issues involved the injector 4 on these duramax engines, the connector was fail causing a missfire on the first gen L5P diesel engines. GM released an service bulletin and this has hopefully resolved this issues going forward with these new engines. the last issues and maybe the most contiversial is the crankshaft pins breaking causing engine failure. aparently the dowel pins holding on the timing gears and harmonic balancer can fail and cause engine failure. I give you my opinon on this. lastly I quickly discuss how I wish the duramax stroke was longer something like what ford has done to help create torque.
