Üstadımız Mısırlı Ahmet kamp boyunca bizlerle birlikte olacak. Ayrıca pek çok farklı Üstat da konuğumuz olacak. 16 gün boyunca ürettiklerimizi kampın son günlerinde yapacağımız konserle Edremit halkıyla buluşturacağız. Kampımız darbuka ya da başkaca bir ritim aletini hali hazırda çalmakta olanların yanı sıra; bu kampı darbukayla tanışmak, ritmin büyülü dünyasına adım atmak için bir fırsat olarak gören herkese de açık olacak. "Ritmi bilmem de dans etmek isterim ben" diyenlere, "Ben klarnet, gitar ya da flüt çalıyorum, ben de orada olmak istiyorum" diyenlere de açık, içinizi ferah tutun. Life, as we live it.. life, as we experience it and life.. as it passes us by is like a grand scheme of rhythm. Your heartbeat, birds' singing, sounds of the waves crashing to the shores, rain drops, changing of traffic lights... they all are rhythms in balance with each other. But alas, we are trying to live a life among rhythms that are stifling, rhythms that are imposing themselves. We bet you are also trying to catch your breath in a demanding effort to suit in with the rhythms the modern day life forces us. What if we tell you that we're going on a quest to find our own rhythms, leaving the city and its hurdles behind?.. and what if we tell you that we have succesfully been doing this for the last five years? WHICH ONE'S YOUR RHYTHM? 'Ustad' Mısırlı Ahmet will be with us throughout the camp but also some leading ace musicians, dancers and artists from around the world will also be the residents of the camp some of whom will be giving workshops. Within 16 days, a body of live music will be built up with the guidance of our master and the fruits of our work will be put on stage to be performed live in front of the welcoming audience of Edremit. Mısırlı Ahmet Rhythm House, home of its founder Mısırlı Ahmet, the world renowned master of the "darbuka", is joyfully celebrating the 10th of its annual International rhythm & art camp this year.
