| Video Discription | This is a Yamaha motor that came in that would not idle and would die. Once again, we talked to the onboard computer and it told us that the Idle Speed Control Valve was not working correctly and had failed. We replaced the control valve and now it is holding an idle right where it should, Interesting note - As you heard towards the end of the video the temp alarm was activated. We were not informed earlier that this was an issue. After calling the owner, he filled us in that this has been an ongoing issue. The owner dropped the lower and changed the impeller just recently. That did not correct the alarm issue, so he took it to another shop and they once again changed the impeller. That still did not solve the issue with the active alarm. Now that this issue has been brought to our attention, we will try to determine what is causing has overheat alarm to activate. Please check with us for your used parts needs, as we part out boats and motors on a daily basis. All of the parts we sell have been used in freshwater only. Please check with your local mechanic to clarify that this is the correct part you need. Most of the parts listed here have many more pictures available upon request.
