| Video Discription | I got this recipe from Pressure Luck Cooking. Almost all of their recipes are for the Instant Pot. I LOVE my instant pot. It makes making dinner super easy. This sour cream and onion chicken was DELICIOUS!!!! You have to try it. You will need: 2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breast sliced to 1/4 in thickness 1 large sweet onion sliced in half moon shapes 1/4 c olive oil 2 tsp fresh garlic minced 1 c chicken broth 1 pkg. onion soup mix 1 c sour cream 1 pkg Boursin cheese or 4 oz. cream cheese (optional) 2 T chopped chives 1/4 c seasoned flour for dredging 2 T butter Dredge chicken breasts in seasoned flour. In sauté mode, add olive oil to instant pot and brown chicken in batches for 2-3 minutes per side then remove from pot and set aside. Add butter to pot and melt. Sauté onions for 3-5 minutes until semi translucent. Add in garlic and chicken broth. Place all chicken back in pot. Put lid on pot and cook at high pressure for 5 minutes. Once done, do a quick release. Once pressure is gone, open lid and remove chicken from pot. Add in onion soup mix and and stir. Then add in sour cream and cheese to pot and stir until melted. Add in half the chives and reserve the other half for garnish. Plate chicken and spoon gravy mixture over top. You can serve this over rice or egg noodles if you wish. We served our chicken and sour cream and onion gravy over cauliflower rice for a lower carb option. It was DELICIOUS!!! yXdM5x2k0j0 |
