Video shows flames towering above a pine forest on the left bank of the Dnipro River, in the south of Ukraine, while Russian troops race to get away. More footage shows Russian on a boat as forest burns in front of them, as one of them says his comrades are still inside. Ukraine has been battling Russia for control of the left bank of the river since this time last year, when their counter-attack ground to a halt. They are trying to establish a foothold, to keep open the option of attacking across the river and towards Crimea. The two sides exchange regular shell-fire, and forest fires are sometimes the result Ukraine has also been targeting Russians with drones.
