| Video Discription | Ironman Col Jangvir Lamba :Highway to Hell Journey. Col Jangvir Lamba was commissioned on 07 Dec,1996. He is a 4th Generation Indian Army Officer and professional Bodybuilder till 2018. He is Judge with the Indian Bodybuilders Federation as of now. He was diagnosed with medical condition of cervical and lumbar spine in Nov,21 with excruciating nerve Pain in right shoulder and numbness in right hand. He was referred to Military hospital in Delhi. He was advised by doctors to stop weight training and running on road etc and also said that this is only going to now go bad with age. He felt like as if he is packed off so early in life. Parents were getting old, children not yet settled and he was kind of will be a liability. It was question of time but the doctors also gave one amazing advice to him that if he reduces his weight , the compression on his discs will reduce. He then a thought of to check out what’s left in him? He came from a military background and his father from his childhood always said “ Have the courage to dream big” and in Jan 22 he decided to do the worlds toughest one day event that is Ironman. In Nov23 he did his first Ironman 70.3 in Goa. In June 24 he participated and successfully completed his Ironman Asia Pacific Championship in Cairns, Queensland Australia(Full Ironman event) In Oct,24 he successfully completed Ironman Langkawi(Malaysia) - Full Ironman event. After having done three Ironman events came the thought what more can be a bigger challenge - so he decided to do the “Toughest Footrace on planet” that is “The Legendary Marathon Des Sables” In Apr,24 he successfully participated and completed the Legendary Marathon Des Sables a 252 km long foot race in Sahara desert. It is an extreme event. He ran in 50 plus degree of temperature. Now after three years of his diagnosis for spinal condition he has done toughest one day event in the world and the toughest foot race on the planet and he is now looking for worlds toughest events or something more challenging to compete in . He did not give in to my medical condition or give up on himself - Thanks to his parents for the way they brought him up or built him up.
