Ed raced his first Ironman in Lake Placid in July (1st place overall, 9:18), and then raced Ironman Copenhagen in August (10th overall, 1st place amateur, 8:27). Meet Ed’s family and hear their takes on his journey towards his first IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Ed Baker is 39 years old and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his wife and four kids. Ed is an angel investor and growth advisor to various startups including Lime, Zwift, Q-State Biosciences, and Change.org. Ed was the VP of Product and Growth at Uber from 2013-2017. Prior to that, he was the Head of International Growth at Facebook, a company he joined after they acquired a startup he co-founded called Friend.ly.
